This is the sad state of American news today. This was the lead story on the radio news at noon. Paris Hilton's mental state in jail. People dying all over the world, G8 summit going on, missile shields, congressional investigations etc, and we get a prima donna amateur porn star as our news lead.And the media wonders why people tune out.

I rarely ever watch the news. It's so mind-numbingly stupid.
A few months back you had the whole Anna Nicole Smith thing. The "legit" newspapers look the Enquirer, and the network news looks like Hard Copy.
