Memorial Day has added meaning these past few years since our nation has been at war. Prior to that it was a military holiday and the beginning of the barbecue season for many people. But as our nation continues to fight in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Djibouti, and other points across the globe, I encourage you to take time to pray for those who are fighting the enemy. Pray for their safety and success. Pray for an end to the conflict. And pray for the families they leave behind. I must admit it is very moving to read the personal notes written by the friends and family members who submitted the photos.
