The dead-tree edition of today's Monroe Sunday News has a nice article on how to avoid financial junk mail. Unfortunately it is not available online. The gist of the article is that 1) many people are tempted to take out more credit than they can handle; and 2) these pre-approved offers are a identity theft risk.I do have good news. If you so desire, you can opt out of receiving these offers. All you have to do is go here and follow the instructions. It takes about 2 minutes and you can choose to opt out for 5 years or permanently.
Consider this an early Christmas present from me to you.

I'm glad to see this info getting out to others! Mike and I have been debt-free since February (thank you Dave Ramsey!) We also signed and sent the permanent no-credit card offers anymore form!
Your blog is very interesting. I believe it could also be called addicting! In reference to the dog fighting segment, I was horrified to see what goes on in the name of greed. I had no idea this kind of thing happens today.
